The Car

The Gen 2 car made its competitive debut in the 2018/19 season of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

The maserati tipo folgore

Formula E is at the leading edge of an automotive revolution.

Designed with wheel-to-wheel action in mind, the Gen3 Maserati Tipo Folgore represents a key technological breakthrough for electric motorsport and is set to lead a rebellion in the automotive industry.

Showcasing previously unprecedented levels of performance with 350kW power capabilities, the Maserati Tipo Folgore has a top speed of more than 200mph and, with front and rear powertrains, has radical 600 kW regenerative braking capabilities.

In each Formula E E-Prix, a minimum of 40 percent of all energy used is produced through regenerative braking while, with a 95 percent efficient electric motor, the Maserati Tipo Folgore is the most energy-efficient racing car ever built.

In Season 10, seven world-class manufacturers and 11 teams will compete head-to-head, driving innovation by racing today in pursuit of a better tomorrow.
