Formula E’s youngest race winner, Maximilian Günther, was born in Oberstdorf, Germany, on 2 July 1997.

He graduated from karting to professional competition in 2011 and showcased his talent on the single-seater scene with wins in every category he raced and multiple title fights.

After scoring one victory on the Formula One support bill in Formula 2, Max paved his path to Formula E, and enjoyed a promising debut season which was marked by two fifth place finishes.

His services were recruited by BMW for Season 6, and his first win in the series soon followed when, aged only 22, Max triumphed on the streets of Santiago in Chile.

With further victories in Berlin and New York, Max continued to flourish as one of Formula E’s most promising talents and joined Maserati MSG Racing for the start of the series’ Gen3 era in Season 9.

In his most successful campaign to date, Max became the first driver since to win a World Championship single-seater race for the Maserati brand since 1957 and will continue to build on his current achievements in Season 10.
